Antennas for Pre-Complience

During EMC broadband testing all electronic products require EMC regulatory standards before coming to market.  Whether you should do pre-compliance testing or not is a tough decision.  Choosing the right antenna also can be a bit problematic.  Pre-compliance testing is an essentially an exercise in taking the risk out of the certification process. It attempts to transform a relatively unknown risk into a known risk.  Factors for choosing the right antenna are in direct coordination with the standards being tested.  Most calibration occur at open air test sites.  In house testing can save you time and money. Check these standards for help FCC Part 15, MIL-STD 461, FAA-DO-160, CISPR 22, IE-1000-4-3, and EN 55022 or contact us.
